This document describes the SiteMinder configuration in mycloud.
It also describes the SiteMinder work flow with mycloud.

Getting Started 

Step 1: Configure SiteMinder

Open SiteMinder configuration screen from mycloud System Admin => Interfaces Configuration => SiteMinder. Image 1.01

 A. Interface property id: Interface property id is the SiteMinder property id mapped with mycloud property id (marked as #3 in image 1.01).
B. Service user id: User id, provided by SiteMinder to connect to SiteMinder web service (marked as #5 in image 1.01).
C. Service password: Password, provided by Siteminer to connect to SiteMinder web service (marked as #6 in image 1.01).

Step 1: Link the rate types with SiteMinder. (Rate types that needs to be published on SiteMinder). (marked as #15 in image 1.01).
Step 2: Link the room types with SiteMinder. (Room types that needs to be published on SiteMinder). (marked as #16 in image 1.01).
Step 3: Activate the interface by checking the option #1. 

User Guide 

Select room Details

Step 1:
Open “Channel manager” from mycloud PMS => Manager Function’s menu option and follow the instructions as follows.
Click on “SiteMinder” to select the channel manager. 

System will prompt for
Click on a rate for which channel allocation needs to be done. 

Select Room type 

Now, select year 

Click on refresh button to refresh channel availability based on Room Type, Rate Type, Year, Channel. 

These parameters can be changed by clicking on button “Select/Change”. Click on “Refresh” button to refresh channel availability based on changed Room Type, Rate Type, Year, Channel. 

Allocate Room Rates

Step 2:
Allocate the room rate availability for a particular year.
A. Select room type (marked as #1 in image 1.02), rate type (marked as #2 in image 1.02) and year (marked as #3 in image 1.02)
B. Click “Refresh” button.
C. System will show the existing room rate availability in grid marked as #6 in image 1.02
D. The numbers, displayed in cells, indicates the number of rooms blocked for the particular date.
E. System shows the date, rate type, room type, blocked rooms, saleable rooms and booked rooms in tool tip while moving mouse on cells.
F. Room / Rate restrictions can be done on individual channels. If individual channel restrictions to be done, select a “Channel” (marked as #5 in image 1.02) and click on refresh.

 * If Channel manager has a date as "closed" for selected room and rate type, then all channels under that channel manager will be treated as "closed" for the same date, room type and rate type.

G. Select the dates (cells), for which blocked rooms needs to be modified, by dragging the cells with mouse. As the mouse drag is released system prompts the availability update screen as shown in Image 1.03.
H. Put the revised number of rooms to be blocked in “Rooms to block” (marked as #2 in Image 1.03).
I. If the room and rate combination is to be closed (no reservation to be made against) for the selected dates, check the “Close for selected dates” (marked as #1 in Image 1.03).

A complete rate can be published on Site minder. In this case a uniform number of rooms can be blocked against the rate type. Steps to publish a complete rates on Site minder mentioned as below.
A. Open “Channel allocation” screen from mycloud PMS => Manager Functions=>Channel manager.
B. Click on "Quick allocation" system will ask for rate and year. System will show list of years beginning with year of system date not as per business date. 

D. System will show all related room types which has rates defined for selected year on rate management. By default all room types will be selected. Screen have two more columns for full/partial availability. If full availability is checked then partial availability column textbox will be disabled otherwise it will be enabled.
E. In case of partial availability, the value of partial availability will not be more than the saleable value of that particular room type.
F. In case of full availability, the allocated number of rooms will be equal to the saleable value of that particular room type.
G. There are two options for publishing the on Site minder with “Full” availability or “Partial” availability. If “Full” availability is selected then system will update the number of blocked rooms for Site minder with following calculation.
Full Availability = Saleable rooms – Booked rooms + Revised Availability (Under/Over booking)
H. In case of “Partial” availability number of rooms, the total blocked rooms cannot be greater than “Saleable – Booked rooms + Revised Availability (Under/Over booking)”.
I. System will update allocation for selected rate type, year and room types and system will not save allocation for dates less than system date.
