Rate Management - Define Rates Based on Season OR Daily Basis
mycloud PMS offers the easiest ways to manage the rate for your hotel. It lets you define the rates by season or by daily rate management.
Primarily the Rate Management can be divided into two ways: -
a) Based on Seasons
b) Based on Daily rates (BAR- Best available rates for the day)
We will cover both the topics in this Manual.
How to set up your seasons?
First, let us understand what is season??
A hotel can manage the rates based on the seasons like New Year rates, Christmas rates, Valentine Package, Winter Package etc.
Step 1
- Season creation: -
To create the season in Mycloud, please follow below steps
Go to Manager Function >> Click on Rate Management >> Select Define Season >> Click on New >> Define Season code >> Drag to select the period in below calendar and save it. (refer to Image 1,2,3)

Now the season has been created.
Please note that any particular seasons will work only for the dates they have been assigned for.
How to Define the rates for the season?
Once we have created the seasons, we need to update the rates for the seasons.
Step 1
Please follow the below steps for putting up rates for the seasons
Go to Manager Function >> Click on Rate Management >> Click on New (See image 4,5)

Put a rate code name, give a short and long description, choose a Rack rate for the selected Rate code, choose a Cancellation and General Terms policy also Minimum Length of stay, Tax-exempt code if any (Refer to image 6)

We can also choose whether the rates are inclusive of taxes, or needs to be published to Website, or we want to override at reservation from the below-given option (See image 7)

Click on “Save” and details will be updated. However, there will be a message displayed to you. (Image 8)

Just click “OK”. Double click the room types (Image 9)

A new screen will appear, where we can enter the rates and click on save. (Image 10)

Similarly, we can do all the room types.
This is how we enter the rates for the seasons.
How to set up the Daily rates (BAR Best available rates for the day).

Please follow below steps to setup a BAR rates
Go to Manager Function >> Click on Rate Management (Image11)

In this screen, click on “Open a BAR rates” (Image 11)

As we click on “Open Bar rates” there will be a message displayed on the screen. (Image 12)

Just enter the Rates and Click on “Save” BAR rates are now configured.
How to set up the Weekend rates in BAR rates.
Step 1
To create the Weekend rates of any other rates for any days of the week, please follow below steps.
Go to Manager Function >> Rate Management >> Open BAR rates >> Yes >> Advance selection >> Choose the days >> Choose the date range. (image 14,15) and you can update the rates .

In case you want to choose the different rates for weekends to maximize revenue refer to the (Image 16,17)
