This document describes the new features, modifications, and corrections effected in mycloud release sprint 1.0.0.8.2.

About the Release

Release Date: 11 Jan 2016 

New Features 

This release includes the following new features:

 1. Default Tax Shell:- 

Idea is that Setup should automatically show default Taxes for the Specified Country and State (if applicable in the library) at the time of initial Setup Wizard processing.

a) At the time of Subscription, the system will scan the values of Country and State entered by the user

• When the user clicks on the URL sent through the mail, it will take the user to the login page.
• After inserting the login credential the initial setup wizard gets started.
 • At the third step of Setup, there is TAX setup Screen [Refer next screen] 

• Above Screen is been added to the Setup Wizard.
• Once selected and imported, the TAX will get imported to system and Status changes to “Done”.
 • On clicking at “Map Taxes with Revenue Charges” button, the user will get to screen where Revenue charges are listed and respective taxes get linked appropriately to Revenue charges [Refer Next screen].

2. PMS => Payment Gateway Transactions:-

Below is the new Screen made for the transaction handling: - 

• Here the Mode are Segregated for “Settled” and Unsettled”.
• Date filed works on “System Date” (Default is Business Date).
• Action can be done –
ü Refund – For Settled case.
ü Void – for unsettled case. 

3. Export Reports to Excel:-

Apart from viewing reports in PDF format, user now has the ability to export these reports to Excel. This will make Accountant/ Manager’s job of extracting data from the reports very easy. For that user has to perform few simple steps.
• Select the report that user wants to export.
• Click the radio button that says “Export to Excel”
 • Then click on “Execute” button. 

4. PMS => Control of posting taxes on applying discount:-

This new add-on gives the user to control the posting of taxes whenever the room is sold at a discounted price. This comes handy when hotels have to pay a special tax for its rooms, no matter what discounts are applied to it. For this user has to follow the following set of instructions mentioned below:-

a) Selecting Rack Rate

Special Taxes are applied on Rack Rate of Hotel regardless of what the Manual Rate is, unless the manual rate is more than the Rack Rate. For this, each hotel specifies the Rack Rate of its property at Rate Management. The user selects the checkbox [see in next screen] to specify the rack rate which is to be used to calculate special tax

b) Defining and linking Special Taxes

Special Tax setup can be done at “Tax Setup” under System Administrator. Once we get to the tax setup screen on the right-side user can see the hyperlink to define special taxes as seen in the next screen
Once the pop-up appears the user will see that for each rack rate defined, he gets to link 3 special taxes per rack rate.
 Next taxes can be selected by dropdown button where the list of all taxes created appear. After selecting a tax code, user can modify and overwrite by entering new amount or percentage as seen in the next screen

c) Explained using an example

Given below is an example of basic scenario when a special tax is applied. Where the manual rate is inclusive of taxes, but the meal plan is included in it. Special tax setup is applied to it which is 8%. Output can be seen in the Proforma Invoice [next figure]
