About the Release

Modifications / Enhancements  

This release includes the following new modifications/enhancements:  

1. Introduced Restricted Exclusive TAX

(Dubai VAT 5%) Introduce Restricted Exclusive TAX, which will be charged on above of total value, despite Inclusive of tax or VAT setup:-

"Restricted Exclusive" tax has been introduced, which will be charged on top of the total value even if the rate is defined as "Inclusive of taxes" or VAT setup.

A tax can be marked "Restricted Exclusive" from the tax setup screen as highlighted in the next screen.

Case 1 : "Rate defined as Inclusive of taxes"

If tax has to be set up with "Room charge" and that tax has to be charged on top of the agreed rate (rate has been defined as "Inclusive of taxes"), then that tax has to be defined as "Restricted exclusive" from tax set up and link the tax with room charge using tax linking option.  

Case 2 : "VAT setup for room charge and other charges"

If tax has to be set up with any revenue charge and that tax has to be charged on top of the gross amount (VAT has been defined with revenue charges), then that tax has to be defined as "Restricted exclusive" from tax setup and then the user has to link this tax with VAT defined in the system.
 For this, there is an option provided on the right side of the tax setup screen "link restricted taxes with revenue charges and VAT". Which will open the tax linking screen for Revenue and vat, where users can link taxes with VAT. Please refer to the next two screens  

If Room charge has two VAT attached to it "VAT 10%", "VAT 15%" and the new tax has to be applicable on room charge and "VAT 10%", then following configuration is needed :

* Make a tax with restricted exclusive and save
* Click on "Link restricted with revenue charges and VAT"
* Click on "Vat" option given on the popup screen
* Select the "VAT 10%" and click on save

 This setup will be applicable only in the case of the VAT setup.

* Only "Exclusive taxes" can be made as "Restricted Exclusive tax"
 * In case of VAT set up, if the tax is linked to a VAT, then the system will link this tax to the revenue charge which will have the selected VAT.  

2. PMS => Reports => Cashiering => Payment Reconciliation report => show credit card type in credit card section also :-

Payment Reconciliation report modified to break the credit card payments into their category like VISA, AMEX, MASTER etc. Please refer next screen.

Corrections / Bug Fixes  

This release includes the following corrections/bug fixes:  

1. PMS => Rate Management => Allow to save zero rates for all occupancy (single, double, triple, extra, youth, child)

Previously system did not allow to make complimentary rates by specifying zero rates for single, double, triple, extra, youth and child occupancy.
Now user can make complimentary rates by specifying zero rates for all occupancies.  

2. PMS => Cashiering => Voucher print => Amount in words was wrong :-

In the case of decimal places equals to zero, the system was showing incorrect value in "words" on voucher printing.  

3. PMS => Reservation => System was allowing to update departure date less than the business date for in-house guest:-

For In-house guests, the system was allowing to save departure date less than business date resulting in incorrect data for a guest.
